(Written by an AC member) The nanotechnology fireside given by Professor Odom last week gave students in Slivka a unique opportunity to hear from one of the pioneering scientists in the field of nanotechnology. Professor Odom related several of her research articles that had been published in Nature and elaborated on them for us. She provided us with a solid understanding of just what nanotechnology means and stimulated our interest in the subject with anecdotes from her own studies.
