Four Slivkans had the joy of eating a scrumptiously home-cooked meal at Dr Hatch’s house last Sunday. They were pleasantly surprised to find themselves in a cozy home with the smell of spices and a friendly dog to greet them at the door. Their savory dinner included ginger-carrot soup, a Halloween-themed tart, pumpkin pie, and a lovely conversation with Dr. Hatch and her partner. |

Despite the torrential rain, Slivka's mighty team of Quidditch players took on CCI in one of the first Northwestern Quidditch matches! Though we lost (boo CCI cheaters), our fearless Quidditch-ers didn't let that (or the rain...) douse their spirits. Plus, the warmth provided by Butterbeer kept all the spectators and the players happy! |

The Philanthropy Committee took several Slivkans last Sunday to volunteer at the ACC Chicago. There we walked dogs who were in need of some fresh air as they anxiously waited to be adopted. They're all so friendly and cute! |

Residents enjoyed munchies referred to as Happy Bears. Apples were sliced, Nutella and peanut butter were spread on the sides of the apple and Teddy Grahams were lined up on the spread. A semi-nutritious snack that made everyone smile! |

One chilly Saturday morning, Slivkans decided to wake up a little earlier than normal to eat brunch with their Fellows. The savory smells of cooked breakfast drifted throughout the dorm, waking people up from their dreams. Pancakes, eggs, fruit, yogurt, croissants, and (of course) bacon were just a few of the items offered. Ten Fellows stopped by for a chat and to enjoy the food. A special visit from Dean Ottino made the event more interesting. All in all, it was a great start to the weekend, and everyone left the Rec Lounge with full stomachs. |
