    • Headphones (especially with a roommate)
  • Printer
    • Paper (bring at least 2 reams per room)

    • Film or extra memory cards
    • Charger and Data Cable
  • Alarm Clock
  • Refrigerator (university recommends one less than 3 cubic feet)
  • Phone and answering machine
  • Fan
  • Extra lighting (floor lamp, desk lamps, etc.)
  • Flashlight
  • Hangers
  • White board (small size for outside the door)
  • Bulletin Board (cork is preferred)
  • Hamper
  • Duct tape & WD-40
  • Calendar
  • Cooking Utensils (pots, pans, kettles, silverware etc.)
  • Cups, plates, plasticware
  • Food (canned goods, fruit, candy, cereal, etc.)
  • Coffee or caffeine equivalent
  • Social Security Card (if you plan on getting a job)
  • Spare cash
  • Plastic bags
  • Can opener
  • Pillow, Blanket, 80″ sheets, comforter
  • Old textbooks/notes
  • Notebooks, paper, binders (whichever fits your study needs)
  • Plastic shelves
  • Book ends
  • Bike, Roller Blades, or Scooter
    • Kryptonite long U-lock or other strong bike lock is a must
  • Pictures, posters, tape (use only Scotch tape for hanging on walls)
  • Musical instrument (if you plan on joining Marching Band, Philharmonia, or other musical interests on campus)

What NOT to Bring

  • Pets of any kind
  • “Heat sources” in rooms such as:
    • Microwaves
    • Water Boilers
    • Coffee Pots
    • Crock Pots
    • George Foreman Grills
    • Etc.
  • Alcohol if you’re under 21
  • Firearms, explosives, swords, or weapons of any kind
  • Illegal drugs or substances

Other Things to Consider

    Slivka has the following items and appliances:
  • Refrigerator (1 per floor, first and second floor share one)
    • Bringing your own is highly recommended
  • Microwave (1 per floor, first and second floor share one)
  • Pool Sticks
    • You may still want to bring your own
  • Ping Pong Paddles
    • You may still want to bring your own
  • Ping Pong Balls
    • You may still want to bring your own (we run out sometimes)
  • Vacuum
  • Laundry Room (washers and dryers)
  • Trash Cans
  • Chairs, a couch, and a table in each suite
  • 1 Large-Screen DLP TV in the Rec Lounge
  • Black and White Laser Printer
    • Toner is provided, but you need to supply your own paper.
    • Bringing your own is strongly encouraged.
