It only comes once every 100 years! At 9:26:53, 2015’s Pi Day equals pi to ten digits (3.141592653…). Winners of the pi memorizing contest were Will Molter in 3rd with 96 digits, Ben Rothman in 2nd with 211 digits, and Morgan Carlton in 1st with 264 digits! Congratulations to all three for their excellent memories and for having the patience to write out all those numbers.

In fitting Slivka fashion, the evening was accompanied with dozens of luscious pastries, and a titillating playlist of pie-related sing-alongs. Executive board members were pied by the three contest winners for the amusement of all.

Project Pumpkin

Each year, Slivka gets a table at Project Pumpkin, which is an activity put on by Northwestern to allow the children of Evanston to trick-or-treat in a safe environment. This year, we made jack-o-lantern masks!

Homecoming!

The theme for this year’s homecoming banner was “Willie in the Windy City.” A group of Slivkans proudly showed our Northwestern and Slivka spirit by marching in the parade!

RCB Field Day

Each year, all RCs compete in activities like Master’s Mile and Human Foosball at RCB Field Day. This is a wonderful day for Slivkans to gather at the lakefill, enjoy the spring weather, eat yummy food, and meet people from other RCs. This year, Slivka came in first place for Human Foosball and we won third place overall!
